Leadership has always been an essential element in all human societies. And especially today with the lack of great leaders in defence of the people’s interest, looking at most African countries, for example, it has become even more important that we keep talking about it.

Dr. Costantinos teaches Public Policy at the School of Graduate Studies, College of Business & Economics, AAU. The PhD program in Public Policy responds to a demand for policy researchers to conduct policy-relevant research and evidence-based policy recommendation.

He has authored several books and numerous papers. His latest book is Unleashing Africa’s Resilience: Pan-Africanist Renaissance in a New African Century.

He also serves on the board of several CSOs, think tanks and businesses. He has served as a Senior Policy Advisor with the United Nations in New York, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe… and as Chairperson of the African Union Board on AntiCorruption.

He is the Chief Scout of Ethiopia and Chair of the Centre for Human Environment He led the disaster prevention program and relief operations of the Red Cross during the African Great Famine of the 1980s.

He continues to undertake humanitarian work with Lem Ethiopia, The Environment & Development Society of Ethiopia, Guhion Aid, Cure Ethiopia and Africa Humanitarian Action that supports 14 million relief and development beneficiaries, refugees and displaced peoples in 20 countries in Africa.

He chairs the boards of Ethiopia Infrastructure & Tunneling Co. and AAIB Capital. His publication and teaching materials can be accessed.
