You see, this is a situation you can see replaying in different areas of our life. I grew up in a small village in Uromi, southern Nigeria and we were very poor sometimes there was not enough food in the house and we were nine siblings.

Sometimes, my mother would say to us, the younger ones who with all fairness had life much better than our older siblings.… “Share with your siblings, the only thing that cannot be shared is the only thing that cannot split”. Now, I am sure you can relate.

This is one of the most important parts of the entire book to me and this is why. You see, I have been exploring topics relating to the African diaspora for several years now.

If you have heard me talk about the background story of this storytelling series, you certainly will understand that it all started with research about the presence of Africans in northern Italy before zooming the lens on the global African diaspora where I now engage with Africans from different parts of the world.

I have said often, especially when looking at the peculiar issues affecting the African world, such as the organization of international politics, government, and developmental-related issues, that none of us in Africa or among the African diaspora is bigger, smarter, or more intelligent than the whole of us. All of us are better than any one of us.
