He’s the creator of the Story to Asset Framework, a proven method drawn from years of research and his Storytelling Mastery book series. The framework helps entrepreneurs turn their story into strategy—and their message into measurable impact.
Born on February 3, 1979, in the village of Amedokhian, Uromi, Nigeria, Obehi Ewanfoh has always been drawn to the power of words. One of the youngest of a large family with eight siblings, Obehi grew up surrounded by stories—those passed down through generations and those he began crafting in his own imagination long before he could even write them down.
From an early age, he was captivated by the magic of storytelling in a typical African village setting in Uromi, mostly through oral narration. While attending Amedokhian Primary School and later Holywood Comprehensive College in Uromi town, Obehi began writing what would become his first book, Round My Mind, a project he started in junior secondary school and completed by the time he finished senior secondary school in 2004.
Rooted deeply in Esan culture, Obehi’s passion for heritage and identity has been a recurring theme in his work. He has written extensively—through both books and articles—about the richness of Esan traditions, values, and history, seeking to preserve and promote them through modern storytelling.
In 2004, Obehi relocated to Italy, a move that would broaden his worldview and deepen his commitment to cross-cultural storytelling.
Alongside his self-directed education, he completed courses in feature writing with the London School of Journalism and filmmaking with the New York Film Academy—both of which he pursued online while working and building his career abroad.
Today, Obehi combines his love for storytelling, cultural preservation, and entrepreneurship to help others turn their own journeys into impactful narratives that build connection, drive business growth, and leave a lasting legacy.
Early Life and Cross-Cultural Journey
Obehi’s journey began in Uromi, Nigeria, but his path took a pivotal turn in 2004 when he moved to Italy in search of opportunity. Landing in the Northern city of Verona, he quickly realized that integration into a new cultural environment came with unexpected challenges.
As he worked to build a life, one thing remained clear: there were few resources that documented the experiences of Africans in Verona. He was eager to understand the lives of those who came before him—what brought them here, what they endured, and how they adapted.
This curiosity wasn’t simply academic; it was deeply personal. Obehi asked himself:
- Who were the first Africans in this city?
- What were their experiences?
- What lessons could he draw from their stories?
When answers proved scarce, he took it upon himself in 2013 to collect, record, and elevate these narratives.
Discovering the Power of Storytelling

From 2013 to 2023, Obehi Ewanfoh committed himself to a decade-long journey of cultural research and documentation, a project born from deep curiosity and a desire to fill the silence around African migrant experiences in Northern Italy.

Focusing on the cities of Verona, Vicenza, and Padova, he recorded oral histories, conducted interviews, and engaged directly with migrant communities. What began as personal research quickly evolved into a collective memory project.

The stories he uncovered weren’t just individual accounts, they were threads in a much larger fabrics of migration, resilience, and identity. This work culminated in two books under the broader project titled The Journey:
These books became important in his work of preserving cultural memory, sparked dialogue, and created a vital space for community reflection. In a society where African voices were often marginalized or misunderstood, Obehi’s work brought those voices to the forefront with clarity and dignity. In 2016, this passion for dialogue took a larger stage. Alongside fellow volunteers from Evideos Association, Obehi co-organized the “We Refugees – Verona 2016” event, in partnership with the University of Verona.
The conference brought together asylum seekers, academics, local citizens, and policy thinkers for a rare and transformative conversation about migration, belonging, and cultural identity. It was through these projects—both written and lived—that Obehi had a profound realization:
Storytelling isn’t just a way to preserve the past. It’s a powerful tool for shaping the future. It can build empathy, shift perspectives, and inspire meaningful change. This awakening became the foundation of his work going forward—not only as a cultural researcher but as a mentor for entrepreneurs and professionals seeking to use their own stories to create impact.
Founding AClasses Media and WeDiasporan
Driven by a clear sense of purpose, Obehi founded AClasses Media—a content creation company designed to help entrepreneurs bring their stories to life. Through thoughtful strategy and storytelling, AClasses Media helps individuals turn their personal and brand journeys into marketing assets that drive real visibility, spark engagement, and fuel sustainable business growth.
Obehi’s mission goes beyond branding. He also launched WeDiasporan (originally registered in 2014 as Evideos in Verona), a socio-cultural research initiative born from a desire to reconnect people of African descent with their rich heritage.
Through storytelling, community collaboration, and cultural exchange, WeDiasporan serves as a bridge—linking the past to the present, and individuals to a global network of identity and purpose.
