When shall African leaders respond to their people in need?
Our fellow countrymen are in danger in Ukraine for a conflict they know nothing about and members of the African diaspora community cannot keep calm. It is unacceptable.

As a result of the unrest in Ukraine, many African citizens are experiencing racial intolerance as they try to escape to safety. They say they have been blocked from boarding trains and prevented from safely crossing into nearby countries.
Many forign natioanls are are fleeing Ukraine and African countries are doing very little to help. This is problematic, considering that many African countries have condemned Putin’s invasion – but they’re not committing the needed resources to helping their citizens in Ukraine.
Even as we talk, there don’t seem to be any real efforts by African governments to get their citizens to safety. These people are facing life and death cituation in Ucraine and people need to speak up now.
This is serious and for those of us, especially in the diaspora, we must be shouting at the top of our voices.
