All across industries, photography is being increasingly employed as a form of visual storytelling in which the photographer’s personal narrative, told through metaphors and symbols, is also captured and conveyed to audiences.

Now, imagine that you can do that and do it perfectly well for your content creation and online business. What do you think will be the result?

People are more likely to believe in a story if they can connect with the people in it. A human-centered approach will help you make more authentic connections with your customers, which will lead to increased trust, loyalty, and sales.

It’s important that you show the human face of your business by including images of people representing different aspects of your company (employees, customers, clients). This will help you build trust and establish credibility among potential buyers.

About The Guest: Aisling Magilla

Aisling Magilla is Photographer and Visual storyteller in Wellington, England, United Kingdom. I try to live a life that is simple, fulfilling, and sustainable without compromising on quality and style. I value the environment, reducing waste, and shopping locally.

I want these values to transfer into my business too. This is why I will only work with brands that are conscious of their environmental impact and actively try to make the world a better place to be. There are so many great companies working towards a better future I want to be part of that movement too.

How did I become an award-winning business photography specialist?

I have enjoyed a long and varied career working as a photographer over the last 16 years. I am qualified with a BA Hons in the Photographic Arts and an NCE in Press Photography.

My career has largely been based in the press industry, which means I am used to shooting a diverse range of subject matter, anything from celebrities to product shots. This experience has given me a wealth of knowledge that is easily adaptable to working with different industries and with diverse businesses.

I spent the early part of my career as a family photographer, this experience has helped me shape how I approach shooting headshots and business profile pictures.

I love working with people, helping to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, this helps bring out their ‘best side’, which I like to think of as a true reflection of the character of my subjects.

I spend most of my time working on location, which means I get to travel the country a lot and sometimes further afield.

This means that I have developed the ability to adapt to my surroundings and situations quickly and have a keen eye for a good location, as well as a memory bank full of interesting places to suit my client’s needs.

I also have a mobile pop-up studio, with battery-operated lighting and a range of backdrops so have the diversity to shoot anything anywhere.

Professional photography is invaluable in helping to sell your products and services in a world that has become very visually driven. There really is no substitute for having your photos taken by a professional.
