Trip Itinerary

Touch down at Kotoka International Airport in Accra and feel the warmth of homecoming as you’re greeted with a traditional “Akwaaba.” After hotel check-in, enjoy a short orientation introducing you to the heartbeat of Ghana—its people, culture, and the powerful journey ahead. Rest and prepare for the adventure of reconnection. 

Overnight: La Palm Royal Beach Hotel (or similar) – Accra 

Start your day with an enriching city tour of Accra: 

  • Independence Square & Black Star Gate – Stand where history was made. Take powerful photos at Ghana’s most iconic landmark of liberation. 
  • National Museum – Journey through centuries of African resilience, from ancient civilizations to the fight for independence. 
  • W.E.B. DuBois Centre – Explore the legacy of one of the greatest Pan-African thinkers and his bond with Ghana. 
  • Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum – Visit the final resting place of Ghana’s first president and visionary, whose dream of African unity still echoes through generations.

Overnight in Accra

Overnight: Ridge Royal Hotel / Lemon Beach Resort – Cape Coast

Return to Accra for overnight stay

  • Volta River Cruise (Akosombo) – Sail across one of the world’s largest man-made lakes. Enjoy kayaking, swimming, or simply soaking in the panoramic beauty while learning the stories of riverside communities. 

Overnight: Accra 

Savor your final morning in Ghana. Shop for last-minute treasures at Oxford Street or the Accra Arts & Crafts Centre before your transfer to the airport.
